in Love
Love - a
million songs tell us we can’t live without it yet ten million divorces tell
us we can’t live with it. The dilemma is that few of us really know what
love is or what we want from it. And you don’t need an honours degree in
ego~ology to know that if you don’t know what you want you’ll never get it.
It’s bizarre!
People spend years studying in an effort to succeed in their career - they
carefully plan every step of the way moving from job to job - ruthlessly
scheming, plotting, battling their way up the slippery ladder of success -
always on the lookout for advancement. But when it comes to love, common
sense disappears and they expect to meet their perfect soul~mate by sheer
accident as they stroll down an aisle in their local supermarket. They
anticipate this earth shattering meeting to be followed by a breathtaking,
whirlwind romance leading to an eternity filled with passion and bliss.
This is the
ultimate in naivety for of course it never happens like that and most people
blunder their way through life stumbling from one miserable relationship to
another. To be successful in love you must approach it as you would a
military campaign. Everything must be planned precisely - every detail must
be plotted and calculated as if going into battle. Nothing must be left to
chance.
